Biography

Dr. Erin O’Leary completed medical school in 2002 after participating in the Combined Siena College/Albany Medical College B.A./M.D. Program in Science, Humanities & Medicine. As part of the curriculum, she participated in multiple volunteer and service activities, including summers of volunteer community and medical service in rural Kenya and Uganda. After a clinical internship, Dr. O’Leary decided to pursue a residency in anatomic and clinical Pathology. During her training, she developed a passion for dermatopathology and studied with highly regarded mentors in the Bronx and Port Chester, NY. Prior to co-founding New England Tissue Issue with Drs. Vinovrski and Wilkel in 2010, Dr. O’Leary gained experience overseeing the anatomic and clinical Pathology Labs at Morton Medical Center in Taunton, MA, as well as providing general pathology and dermatopathology coverage at a number of southern New England community hospitals. Since training, Dr. O’Leary has regularly participated in teaching dermatology and pathology residents, including those from Roger Williams Medical Center and Rhode Island Hospital. She is a member of multiple medical societies, including the College of American Pathologists, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatopathology, New England Dermatological Society, Rhode Island Dermatology Society and Massachusetts Medical Society, amongst others.
